Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Product Manager/Business Analyst to join their team in El Segundo, CA!

This role is hands-on and combines active ownership of fixed income and investment operations projects with the opportunity to introduce practical, hands-on AI workflows to a well-established product and technology team. The exact balance between project work and enablement work will flex based on business need. Our client's team brings deep domain expertise across investment platforms, data, and workflows, and is investing in AI capability to complement that expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own product and business analysis work end-to-end on active investment technology projects, including fixed income and investment accounting/trading system initiatives.
• Use AI tools (Claude and similar) as a core part of your working method to draft requirements documents, surface edge cases, and produce deeper, more thorough analysis than manual processes allow.
• Build and deliver test cases with AI assistance, helping set a new baseline for how the team approaches QA and requirements work.
• Host structured, recurring sessions (weekly or similar cadence) to train the broader BA/PM team on practical AI workflows, with real demonstrations rather than passive show-and-tell.
• Act as a go-to resource for the team on AI-enabled ways of working, influencing through visible, hands-on example.
• Proactively connect with engineers, product owners, and FinOps stakeholders to understand what the whole team is working on and where AI can help.
• Identify where current hybrid PM/BA processes create bottlenecks, and propose smarter, tool-enabled ways of working.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Manager and/or Business Analyst, ideally within financial services or investment management.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI tools (such as Claude) to transform product and business analysis workflows, including requirements writing, edge-case analysis, and test case generation.
• Strong finance or investment management domain knowledge is a plus (fixed income, interest rate swaps, investment accounting, or trading systems); candidates with strong AI-forward product experience and the ability to ramp quickly on domain will also be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and AI-driven approaches for a broader team.
• Experience building and delivering structured training or knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Comfortable operating as both an individual contributor and an informal team resource, without formal management authority.
• Collaborative, proactive working style, comfortable engaging directly with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Open-minded and low-ego, able to introduce new ways of working alongside a team with deep institutional knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at a technology-forward firm or a top-tier investment manager already advancing AI adoption.
• Direct experience with investment accounting or trading platforms (e.g., PAM/Geneva) or similar fixed income systems.
• BSc/BA in a relevant field.

Pay Rate: $80 - $100/hr
