Job summary

Calvis in Austin is seeking its first product manager to own numbers, usage, and what customers actually care about, end to end. You’ll work directly with the CEO and CTO in a fast-moving environment where autonomy and real-world impact matter.

You’ll define KPIs, talk to customers, collaborate with design and engineering, and shape solutions across web dashboard and mobile apps. This is a hands-on, customer‑obsessed role in a chaotic, exciting startup.

Qualifications

  • Worked at a high-growth startup before. You thrive in chaos, change, and uncertainty.

Responsibilities

  • Be the person who connects the dots. Own the numbers, usage, and understand what customers actually care about.
  • Set up the KPIs that don't exist yet. Decide what we should be measuring and build the muscle for tracking it.
  • Talk to customers directly. Own customer conversations and direction-setting, and bring that insight back into the product.
  • Work closely with our designer to prototype and shape ideas, then partner with engineering to execute.
  • Own products end-to-end: understand the problem, shape the solution, ship it, and iterate against real usage.
  • Work across every surface we have: web dashboard, native iOS and Android apps, and internal ops tools.

Job description

  • Calvis is making the trillion-dollar physical security industry AI-native. Today the industry is outdated, fragmented, and runs on pen and paper. With Calvis, humans + AI work together to secure the world.
  • Our marketplace connects businesses with vetted security guards who work every shift using our AI copilot. It briefs them, takes their reports, and helps them do a great job. Meanwhile, every shift generates data that continuously makes our AI better.
  • We enhance guards with robots and AI video monitoring, making Calvis the only all-in-one security offering on the market.
  • Clients across the country, from critical infrastructure to manufacturing facilities, trust Calvis to help keep them safe.
  • Very small team, in person, in office. Work directly with the CEO and CTO.
  • The business has grown fast over the last year, and our growth rate is only accelerating.
  • Complete ownership and autonomy. You own what you work on, end to end, and you decide how to build it. We have plans, but autonomy is the point: it means looking around corners and building for what's coming before it's on our roadmap.
  • Your work ships fast and lands in the real world with real guards.
  • Everything is still early. You'd be our first product manager, driving product direction and talking to customers directly.

Why join?
  • Very small team, in person, in office. Work directly with the CEO and CTO.

The role
  • Be the person who connects the dots. Own the numbers, own the usage, and understand what customers actually care about, better than anyone else at the company.
Who you are
  • Worked at a high-growth startup before. You thrive in chaos, change, and uncertainty.
  • You work hard, and you're wired in. The business, the problems, and the thing you're building stay on your mind because you actually care.
  • You work with AI every day and treat staying at the frontier as part of the job. You're constantly learning from new models, tactics, and workflows, and folding them into how you work.
  • Genuinely comfortable in the numbers. You can look at usage data and metrics and come away knowing what's actually going on and what to do about it.
  • Product mindset paired with craft. You dig into what users are actually struggling with, structure complex operational products, and know how to work with designers and engineers to make them real.
  • You want to talk to customers, not just look at dashboards. Both sides of "what's going on" matter to you.
