Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library, top 200 website at archive.org, and an archive of over 100 petabytes of digital information running in many self-owned and operated data centers. Internet Archive builds critical products preserving material for thousands of libraries, non-profits, cultural heritage, governments, and educational organizations worldwide, working collaboratively to advance our goal of “Universal Access to All Knowledge.”
We are seeking a Product Manager to grow our suite of products providing web archiving, digital preservation, access and data services to research, memory, and social good organizations. This high-profile role works directly with the national and international community to provide products supporting their work on digital archiving, web services, knowledge and learning, and open scholarship. The Archiving & Data Services group includes both SaaS solutions as well as custom web and data products, community programs, and strategic initiatives supporting perpetual access to information.
Reporting to the Head of Product, the role will drive product decisions for new and existing services and work closely with engineering, program, and operations staff as well as other Product Managers. Preliminary duties will focus on product development of our web archiving, digital preservation, and collections analysis services. Other responsibilities include working with department staff on technical and strategic planning, partnership and business development, and making data-driven decisions for continuous growth and improvement of our products.
This is a remote-first position working in a distributed team. Candidates will need to have significant time overlap with primarily North America (and largely Pacific Time) based colleagues. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the role is open to candidates of varying seniority with a general, but negotiable, salary range of $80,000 to $120,000. Applicants must be eligible to work in either the United States or Canada. References must be made available upon request.
The Internet Archive is a remote first workplace and provides a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, paid holidays, and medical benefits. Depending on where you live, we also provide these additional benefits; dental, vision, health savings accounts, flex spending accounts, commuter benefits, short term disability, long term disability and retirement programs.
