Job summary

Google DeepMind is hiring a Product Manager for Persona and Behavior to define Gemini's default behaviors and navigate subjective trade-offs for its personality. You will outline what good looks like for Gemini, balancing the model’s IQ and EQ and shaping its expressive range.

Work closely with research, engineering, and post-training teams to bring the model’s personality to life, contributing to safe and impactful AI development for billions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of product management experience.
• Experience in ML/AI or related technical field.
• Ability to define product vision, GTM strategy, and drive design discussions.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the model specification and Gemini's default behaviors.
• Lead the product goal for model personality and its expressive range.
• Collaborate with Engineering, UX/Design, Research, and Trust & Safety teams.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for model quality from a taste perspective.
• Partner with post-training teams to implement model personality and style.
