Crain Communications is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help build the systems that deepen our understanding of our audiences and make our digital experiences more relevant and valuable across their lifecycle. This role focuses on platforms, data systems, and intelligence capabilities that drive personalization, audience insights, content operations, and decision-making at Crain.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in product management, with data products or audience decisioning.
• Experience with customer data platforms, behavioral data, and personalization tools.
• Ability to discuss APIs, data pipelines, and platform architecture.
• Experience creating requirements, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• History of partnering with engineering to deliver scalable products.
• Strong analytical skills using data, research, and experimentation.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and delivering business outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience using AI tools to support discovery and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, roadmap, and delivery of product intelligence systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data or automation opportunities.
• Build capabilities to understand customer behavior and content performance.
• Develop personalization and recommendation systems.
• Partner with engineering and data teams to improve data quality and governance.
• Lead metadata, taxonomy, and content intelligence initiatives.
• Develop AI-powered tools and internal platforms for efficiency.
• Improve content management workflows and editorial tooling.
• Inform product decisions using research, analytics, and experimentation.
• Define success metrics and measure impact.
• Manage products from discovery and planning through launch and optimization.
• Communicate product vision, priorities, progress, and results.
