Formulate Robotics in California is seeking a Product Manager (Manufacturing Software / ERP) to own the roadmap for core production software. You’ll shape batch execution, material tracking, inventory management, workflow orchestration, and operator interfaces across integrated robotics and AI-driven optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management in enterprise software, ERP, or operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, or process-driven environments.
• Able to work with backend engineers on data models, workflows, and architecture.
• Translate messy real-world processes into structured digital systems.
• Analytical mindset with capability to define metrics and KPIs.
• High agency and decisiveness in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication across engineering, production, and leadership.
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate documentation and analysis is a plus.
• Nice-to-haves: MES systems, batch manufacturing, GMP environments, industrial automation integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for manufacturing software systems (ERP, MES-like workflows, operator tooling).
• Design batch records, traceability systems, and production scheduling frameworks.
• Translate factory workflows into scalable software processes.
• Partner with engineering to implement secure, auditable production systems.
• Work with Quality and Operations for compliance alignment and process clarity.
• Prioritize features to improve throughput, reduce errors, and increase transparency.
• Define metrics for production efficiency, material utilization, and operational health.
• Balance speed of iteration with long-term system integrity and maintainability.
• Continuously gather feedback from operators and leadership to refine workflows.
