Summary

The Product Manager – Accessories owns the full lifecycle of Weatherby's accessory product category, from concept through development, launch, and end-of-life. This role partners closely with Marketing, Finance, Sales, Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations to ensure alignment with brand strategy and business objectives. Responsible for category performance, including P&L, this role serves as a central hub across cross‑functional teams to deliver products that meet market demand and strengthen Weatherby's position in the outdoor industry.

What You'll Do
  • Own and manage the accessory product line in alignment with Weatherby's brand strategy.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities to create or lead new product trends.
  • Lead product development efforts in partnership with sourcing networks and internal teams.
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept through launch and end‑of‑life decisions.
  • Drive category performance, including contribution to sales goals and market share objectives.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure accurate demand planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor and analyze trends to support data‑driven product and inventory decisions.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and execute product positioning, campaigns, and launch strategies.
  • Represent Weatherby as a product expert at trade shows and industry events.
  • Support development of sales materials, promotions, and training resources.
  • Conduct competitive analysis on pricing, features, and positioning.
  • Define product positioning and pricing strategies for new and existing products.
  • Conduct market research and surveys to inform product decisions.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to Customer Service and Warranty teams.Collaborate with Engineering and Production to bring products successfully to market.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a technical school; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience sourcing and working with foreign suppliers preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for outdoor adventure and hunting.
Competencies
  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to talk, hear, taste, and smell as needed.
  • May involve prolonged standing and manipulation of small parts.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally lift up to 42 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Primarily an office/clerical environment using standard office equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments, including fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate (office) to loud (manufacturing areas).
