Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensures strategic alignment of 3P product interoperability with Varian roadmaps; liaise with product development teams and provide visibility of 3P products for evaluation.
• Develops early assessment business cases to evaluate potential for 3P device commercial success.
• Works with the Strategic Alliance team to initiate agreement development and technical alignment, including objectives, budgets, and SOW.
• Support and assist Marketing with Launch Plan, Commercial Release Plan, Market Introduction Plan.
• Support and assist Service with Service Readiness Plan and Customer Satisfaction Phase activities.
• Write interoperability use cases and product requirements for safe and effective interaction of 3P products with Varian systems.
• Participates in 3P project teams and ensures scope alignment with customer and business needs; oversee verification and validation test cases.
• Maintains knowledge of technical/clinical needs in radiotherapy interoperability and related Varian apps.
• Participates in testing activities in-house and at customer sites when applicable.
• Interacts with Varian customers regarding 3P product desirability and effectiveness; communicates findings to product owners.
• Travel to meet vendors and customers and participate in product testing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures strategic alignment of 3rd Party (3P) product interoperability / compatibility with Varian product portfolio roadmaps; Liaise with product development teams; provide visibility of 3P products for evaluation to product teams across the Varian suite of products.
• Develops early assessment business cases to evaluate potential for 3P device commercial success, ensuring product offerings align with the Varian vision and the market need.
• Works with the Strategic Alliance team to initiate agreement development and technical alignment, including detailed description of project objectives, budgets, and statement of work.
• Support and assist Marketing with, but not limited to, Launch Plan, Commercial Release Plan, Market Introduction Plan.
• Support and assist Service with, but not limited to, Service Readiness Plan and Customer Satisfaction Phase activities.
• Works with cross functional colleagues and 3P partners to write interoperability / compatibility clinical use cases, technical product requirements and commercialization strategy.
• Participates in 3P interoperability project development teams and ensure scope alignment with overall customer and business need; write use cases and product requirements for safe and effective interaction of the 3P product with Varian system(s); oversight of verification and validation test case development and execution and effective commercial roll‑out.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of technical and clinical needs associated with radiotherapy treatment activities, with a focus on interoperability, as well as a general knowledge of other relevant Varian applications (TrueBeam, Halcyon, QA, ARIA, etc.).
• Participates in testing activities in‑house and at customer sites when applicable.
• Interfaces with Varian customers regarding the desirability and effectiveness of 3P products. Communicates findings and collaborates with applicable business and product owners across Varian.
• Travel, as required, to meet with vendors and customers, and to participate in product testing as needed.
