Host Guest is a U.S.-based startup launched in 2024 and officially registered in Georgia in 2025. We are building a secure, human-centered housing platform that connects students and cultural travelers with verified host families across the United States. We focus on building trust and connection for people navigating new cities and experiences, especially international and out-of-state students who need more than just a place to stay.

The Role

We are hiring a Product Manager to lead the next stage of Host Guest’s launch. This is a high-ownership role, you’ll be the bridge between our tech team, UX design, project operations, and marketing. You’ll turn vision into structured execution, prioritize what matters most, and keep our cross-functional teams aligned and accountable through our summer launch.

This role is not junior, not experimental, and not passive. We need someone with at least 4 years of product management experience, preferably in startups, consumer platforms, or SaaS environments. If you know how to walk into a live but disorganised product and get it cleaned up and shipped on schedule, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute the product roadmap through launch
• Prioritize backlog items in partnership with the technical team and founder
• Run structured check-ins and report progress across all teams (tech, design, marketing)
• Break down features and updates into actionable task sets using Asana
• Ensure deadlines are clear and deliverables are trackable
• Translate founder vision and team input into logical product decisions
• Identify product risks, blockers, and edge cases early
• Work cross-functionally to align platform readiness with PR and marketing efforts
• Help lead internal QA, testing cycles, and post-launch feedback systems

Qualifications

• Must be based in the United States
• Minimum 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in a fast-paced or startup environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, and product releases
• Experience working with remote teams using Asana, Google Workspace, and Slack
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable coordinating with both engineers and non-technical team members
• Bonus: Experience with student-focused platforms, housing marketplaces, or consumer apps

Compensation

This is a fixed project-based contract running from May 16 to mid-July 2025. The estimated compensation range is $1,500 to $3,500 total, depending on scope, speed, and delivery outcomes.

If the fit is strong, this role may evolve into a full-time Product Manager position as Host Guest scales post-launch.
