About The Role
The Product Manager will own strategy, roadmap, and execution for developer-facing platform capabilities spanning APIs, cloud infrastructure, data services, and internal tooling. The role translates customer and business needs into clear product requirements, measurable outcomes, and prioritized engineering work.
This role matters because reliable platform products directly shape developer velocity, system scalability, and customer adoption. The Product Manager will partner closely with engineering, design, data, security, and go-to-market teams to move products from discovery through launch and continuous improvement in a hybrid Seattle environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product strategy and quarterly roadmaps for platform capabilities, using customer research, usage analytics, competitive analysis, and business goals to set priorities
- Translate ambiguous technical and customer requirements into PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, API requirements, and launch plans in tools such as Jira, Linear, and Confluence
- Partner with engineering leads and architects to evaluate tradeoffs across scalability, reliability, security, latency, developer experience, and cost
- Manage execution from discovery through release, maintaining decision logs, dependency plans, risk registers, and clear status communication for cross-functional stakeholders
- Use SQL, product analytics platforms, dashboards, and experimentation frameworks to measure adoption, activation, retention, operational health, and business impact
- Coordinate beta programs, documentation, enablement, and go-to-market readiness for API, infrastructure, and developer-tool releases
- Establish product operating mechanisms, including roadmap reviews, customer feedback loops, release retrospectives, and outcome-based prioritization
What We Are Looking For
- 3–8 years of product management experience, including ownership of technical, platform, API, infrastructure, data, or developer-tool products
- Demonstrated experience delivering software products in partnership with engineering teams using Agile development practices and tools such as Jira, Linear, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of cloud architecture and modern software systems, including REST or GraphQL APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, databases, observability, and CI/CD
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to write or interpret SQL, define product metrics, analyze funnels, and use data to make prioritization decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing PRDs, executive updates, technical tradeoff documents, and customer-facing product materials
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with developer platforms, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, machine learning infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, or products serving technical buyers
