Job Summary

Solodev is looking for a full‑time, highly talented Product Manager to join our team! The perfect person for this position will oversee and coordinate all aspects of Solodev projects to completion. In this role, the product manager shows ownership of requirements definition and design of software products that meet demonstrated market needs, manages creation and delivery of products, coordinates with development, quality assurance, business leaders and other stakeholders, collects customer feedback and drives a product roadmap that sets Solodev up for success in the content management marketspace.

Responsibilities
  • Manage software product development, oversee execution, assign responsibilities and monitor progress
  • Create a product roadmap to support Solodev business strategy
  • Track all the details of product roadmap development and make decisions to keep the team focused and moving forward while reporting status to management on a regular basis
  • Define market opportunity, develop strategy definition and requirements analysis
  • Translate business goals and vision into an effective, well‑defined product development strategy
  • Leverage strong process and project management abilities to envision and manage product lifecycle from idea inception, support go‑to‑market plans, and lead with a customer first mindset
  • Provide timely and effective reports of product performance (development and product release plans)
  • Conduct market research to understand Solodev product as opposed to alternative options and monitor competitive activity
  • Participate in marketing and sales, as well as monitor subscriber feedback to better understand the needs and requirements of prospects and customers
  • Articulate new product developments to internal and external groups, including marketing, sales & PR
  • Provide critical thought leadership and expertise of product development from concept, design, and customer journey, to implementation
  • Perform activities to grow Solodev subscription base and enhance its products adoptability
  • Build a measurement discipline, based on common KPIs, for project targeting, tracking and evaluating investments to ensure maximum ROI
  • Prioritize feature requests, forecast completion and hold responsibility for meeting deadlines
  • Coordinate teams and effectively assign responsibilities
  • Instill a customer‑centric focus in the team and be passionate about creating amazing user experiences that engage our customers and build affinity for the brand
  • Make decisions on final product, designs and functionality
  • Communicate with our technical writer for product documentation, upcoming releases and describe new product benefits
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product and/or project management
  • Software product development or marketing for an enterprise software company and demonstrated success bringing software products through the full life cycle
  • BS degree in Computer Science (preferred) or applicable fields (Project Management, Communications, etc.)
  • Experience in software industries with agile methodology is plus
  • Proven ability to lead with a clear vision
  • Excellent strategic thinking and prioritization skills
  • Must be able to do research, mine data and apply strategic thinking to executive‑level pitches
  • Thorough understanding of PM skills, processes, best practices and ability to teach others
  • Ability to create UI mockup and prototype
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process while understanding the big picture
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and effectively work under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of stakeholders, motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • Team player, very detail oriented, self‑motivated, and easy‑going with strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Strong budget planning, project management, organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • A dynamic and resourceful creative thinker and problem solver able to work under minimal supervision
  • This position requires the candidate to work on‑site in our Orlando office. Relocation assistance is not available
Desired Skills & Technologies
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Understanding of Agile / Scrum techniques (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP) is a plus)
  • Experience defining technical product features; from inception to execution
  • Demonstrated experience developing Software products (SaaS experience is preferred)
  • Demonstrated visionary leader
  • Ability to develop and cultivate a dynamic, progressive, and technologically advanced organization
  • Experience with project management, communication and reporting tools (e.g. Jira, Slack, etc.)
