As an entry-level Data Product Manager for this Fortune 500 automotive company, you will be helping to drive forward high priority initiatives for the organization responsible for all things data related. The data space is growing and evolving rapidly, and the need for technical leaders is evolving with it.

In addition to managing a variety of data product teams, you will receive paid online technical training and direct mentorship from Senior Data Product Managers to help grow your technical and leadership skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • Experience with various data types (structured, unstructured, real-time, batch).
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and SDLC.
  • Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders, customers, managers, etc.
  • BONUS: Experience with data visualization and analytics tools; experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Elicit and prioritize requirements from stakeholders across the organization, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and resource constraints. This includes actively engaging with data engineers, data scientists, and business users.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new features and improvements to the data ingestion platform. This includes creating detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor platform performance, user adoption, and identify areas for improvement. This includes analyzing usage data, conducting user surveys, and gathering feedback.
  • Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, engineering, and business units.
  • Regularly engage with users to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations. This includes conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
