Job description

PODS is reimagining the moving and storage experience, and we’re building products and services that make it easier for customers to plan, book, and manage their move. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to develop new capabilities and improve existing offerings across our core product portfolio. This role connects customer needs, business priorities, technology, and operational requirements to deliver products that improve the customer experience, drive revenue growth, and increase operational efficiency.

This role will report to the Director of Core Product and own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of an assigned product area. With a high degree of autonomy, you will develop a three-year vision aligned with the broader portfolio strategy, create annual roadmaps, and work with engineering and business partners to deliver them. You will collaborate across product, design, engineering, operations, marketing, sales, customer experience, finance, and analytics. Success requires excellent written and oral communication, strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable understanding technical complexity, contributing to engineering discussions, and balancing customer value, business impact, and operational feasibility.

We’re excited about the future of moving, and if you’re passionate about delighting customers in a rapidly evolving space, this role is for you!

A Day in The Life

Here at PODS, our product teams work closely with engineering, design, and business partners to solve customer problems and deliver measurable results. You will turn a long-term vision into prioritized initiatives, clear requirements, and actionable user stories, working in an Agile environment to deliver improvements iteratively. You will use data, customer research, market insights, and frontline feedback to identify opportunities and test assumptions. Day to day, you will align stakeholders, make tradeoffs, manage dependencies, and support product launches and operational readiness. We learn rapidly by testing new experiences, measuring their impact, and incorporating those learnings into the roadmap. If you enjoy taking ownership of complex problems and working across teams to improve the customer experience, this role may be a great fit for you.

We provide flexibility and control that other moving methods lack, including built-in storage, adjustable scheduling, and the ability to load and unload belongings on your own schedule. Responsibilities

  • Use customer research, data analysis, market insights, and stakeholder feedback to identify problems, assess opportunities, and develop business cases and product recommendations
  • Lead end-to-end product delivery with engineering, design, and business partners, translating priorities into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria while managing dependencies and tradeoffs
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders on product priorities, launch plans, and operational readiness; communicate progress, risks, and decisions to the Director of Core Product and other leaders
  • Define and own success metrics for customer adoption, satisfaction, financial results, and operational performance; design experiments, evaluate results, and continuously improve products after launch
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, or technology experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Comfort with SQL and data analysis
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in building customer-facing products utilizing a multi-year roadmap
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver with complete independence in situations where product strategy is not yet defined
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery
  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, technology, engineering, economics, or a related field
  • Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products, services, or enterprise capabilities
