Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to analyze product portfolios, pricing strategies, and opportunities vs. competitors.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Applications Engineering, and Technical Support to update product documentation (manuals, guides, firmware docs).
  • Assist in developing and revising customer-facing and internal technical documentation for accuracy and usability.
  • Provide tactical project support for new product launches, including creating marketing collateral and sales enablement materials.
  • Support cross-functional product activities, research, and operational/strategic tasks as needed.
  • Gain exposure to the full product lifecycle by working with engineering, marketing, sales and support teams.

This position reports to:

Manager, Product Management

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is onsite in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research on key industry competitors to analyze product portfolios, pricing strategies, value propositions, and identify portfolio gaps and opportunities relative to product offerings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Applications Engineering, and Technical Support teams to update and maintain product documentation, including user manuals, quick-start guides, firmware release documentation, and technical reference materials.
  • Assist in the development and revision of customer-facing and internal technical documentation to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with product updates.
  • Provide tactical project support for new product launches, including the creation and coordination of marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, and product communications.
  • Contribute to ongoing product management initiatives by supporting cross-functional projects, conducting research, and assisting with operational and strategic product activities as needed.
  • Gain exposure to the full product lifecycle while working closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and support stakeholders to help drive successful product outcomes.

Qualifications for the role:

The hourly rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications, graduation year and experience. This position is expected to pay between $20 - $34 per hour.
