Job summary

Cox Enterprises is seeking Software Development Interns in the United States for a hands-on internship that spans product management concepts, market research, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work with product managers, designers, and engineers to learn the full product lifecycle and contribute to roadmap planning.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a related degree with strong writing skills and a willingness to engage in design, development, and evaluation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (in progress).
• Working knowledge of Product specialty/job area, principles, concepts, and practices.
• Strong writing ability.
• Some experience in design, development and implementation of product plans.
• Some experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.
• Some experience in conducting competitive research and analysis.
• Some experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Gains familiarity with Product Management concepts, practices, and methodologies.
• Performs standard Product Manager duties with guidance.
• Conducts client and market research for product-related evaluation and planning.
• Analyzes customer, market, and product application information.
• Supports team efforts to develop and refine product vision and functional requirements.
• Engages with technical, product and other colleagues on product design, project planning, development, release, and execution.
• Prepares and distributes project status updates.
• Participates in post-project evaluation.
• Learns and applies the company’s Product Management standards and policies.
• Understands the “why” behind each feature and works with PMs to understand the roadmap and KPIs.
• Partners with Product Manager to provide input into business case documentation.
