Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking Software Development Interns to join our team and learn from experienced professionals. You will gain familiarity with product management concepts and work on client and market research, analysis, and defining product requirements.

Interns participate in post-project evaluations and collaborate with product managers to understand roadmaps, KPIs, and business case inputs. This program emphasizes mentorship, accountability, and real-world project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field (in progress).
• Strong writing ability.
• Some experience in design, development and implementation of product plans.
• Some experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.
• Some experience in conducting competitive research and analysis.
• Some experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Gains familiarity with Product Management concepts, practices, and methodologies.
• With guidance, performs standard Product Manager duties, including client and market research for product-related evaluation and planning.
• Conducting analysis and research to understand customer, market, and product application information.
• Supporting team efforts to develop and refine product vision and functional requirements.
• Engaging with technical, product and other colleagues on product design, project planning, development, release, and execution.
• Preparing and distributing project status updates.
• Post-project evaluation.
• Learns and applies the company's Product Management standards and policies.
• Understands the "why" behind each Feature and works with the Product Managers to understand the roadmap and supporting KPIs.
• Partners with Product Manager to provide input into business case documentation.
