Job summary

Nextech, a leader in specialty healthcare technology solutions, offers a Summer Internship 2026 in Product Management. The program exposes you to discovery research, market assessments, stakeholder interviews, and strategic planning within a PE-backed SaaS company serving specialty medical practices.

You’ll work with Finance, Accounting, HR, Software Development, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management teams across 10–12 weeks (June 2 – August 7).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Product Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into clear recommendations.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including comfort presenting findings to senior audiences.
• Interest in healthcare technology, product strategy, and specialty medical practice operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialty-specific discovery research (orthopedics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or ophthalmology) and identify unmet needs.
• Develop product strategy artifacts such as market assessments, opportunity briefs, personas, and recommendation decks.
• Support stakeholder interviews and client engagement activities, including interviews guides and synthesis of insights.
• Analyze existing product capabilities, feature gaps, and migration paths related to NexCloud-to-P+ transition.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Client Success to validate assumptions and refine strategies.
• Prepare and deliver a capstone presentation summarizing findings and recommended next steps to leadership.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need.

Summer Internship 2026:

The Product Management Intern will support the Financial Solutions product organization by conducting discovery research and developing product strategy recommendations across one or more of Nextech’s supported specialties: ophthalmology, orthopedics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetics. This role provides hands-on exposure to product discovery methods, competitive analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning within a PE-backed healthcare SaaS company serving specialty medical practices

The Nextech Summer Internship Program provides opportunity for those early in their career to encounter a breadth of experience in the fast-paced medical software Industry.

We have many departments looking to hire an intern this summer. Some include and are not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Software Development, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management.

The program is approximately 10-12 weeks long; starting June 2nd and continuing through August 7th.

This is a paid internship. Interns may work up to 28 hours per week. Weekly schedules will be decided on depending on the manager and their department.

Our Talent Acquisition team will be reviewing resumes periodically and will be reaching out for interviews in the coming weeks (please review selection process below).

Essential Functions:

• Conduct specialty-specific discovery research (orthopedics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or ophthalmology) including competitive landscape analysis, workflow mapping, and identification of unmet clinical and operational needs.
• Develop product strategy artifacts such as market assessments, opportunity briefs, personas, and recommendation decks to inform leadership decision-making.
• Support stakeholder interviews and client engagement activities, including preparing interview guides, capturing insights, and synthesizing findings into actionable themes.
• Analyze existing product capabilities, feature gaps, and migration pathways relevant to the assigned specialty or NexCloud-to-P+ transition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Sales, and Client Success to validate assumptions and refine strategy recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver a capstone presentation summarizing discovery findings, strategic options, and recommended next steps to product leadership.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Product Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or coursework in product management, strategy consulting, healthcare operations, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with healthcare IT, practice management systems, EHR/PM platforms, or revenue cycle concepts.
• Experience conducting user research, competitive analysis, or market assessments.
• Self-directed work style with a proactive, curious approach to ambiguous problems.

Working Environment/Physical Demands

• Remote
• Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor.
