Job summary

General Dynamics - IT seeks a Product Management/Acquisition Analyst in Fort Detrick, Maryland (Hybrid: 2 days telework). Use your combat medic and logistics background to support Army medical products through the acquisition lifecycle, from science and technology to sustainment of fielded devices and systems used on the battlefield.

You will work with Product Managers, Logistics, Engineers, and End-Users to align cost, schedule, and performance goals, apply the Adaptive Acquisition Framework,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, logistics or related field.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in military settings and medical evacuation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide programmatic and logistics support for the CASEVAC program to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Support development and execution of program acquisition strategies and milestones.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate programmatic risks and issues.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of materiel and services for CASEVAC.
  • Integrate materiel management into Army logistics systems and coordinate with Army commands.
  • Support developmental and operational testing to verify requirements.
  • Assist with life cycle logistics planning, sustainment, maintenance, and disposal; review LCSPs and LCCEs.
  • Research product identification data using logistics information systems.
  • Participate in IPTs/WGs; prepare agendas and minutes; track actions.
  • Develop and manage program documents: reports, briefings, and papers.
  • Manage multiple concurrent efforts and prioritize requirements.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Job description

Seize the opportunity to make a personal impact as a Product Management/Acquisition Analyst, using your program, logistics, and military medical experience to support Army medical products throughout the acquisition lifecycle—from science and technology or modernization efforts through to the sustainment of fielded medical products, devices, equipment, and systems used on the battlefield.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a Product Management/Acquisition Analyst joining our team and leveraging their combat medic experience in deployed environments—stabilizing casualties, coordinating MEDEVAC operations, and supporting their recovery and return to duty.

  • Work with Product Managers, Logistics Managers, Engineers, End-Users, and other key stakeholders to provide programmatic and logistics support to assist in the overall planning, direction, and control of the Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) program to ensure they meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Apply knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework’s various pathways to support the development and execution of program acquisition strategies, assist in the development and maintenance of key acquisition documents and prepare and support major program milestones and reviews.
  • Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of programmatic risks and issues.
  • Oversee the logistics and lifecycle management of specialized technical materiel and services for the CASEVAC program.
  • Assist with the integration of materiel management functions into U.S. Army’s overarching logistics systems, facilitating communication and collaboration between Army commands, operational forces, and PM Soldier Treatment and Evacuation.
  • Support the planning and execution of developmental and operational testing to ensure the system meets its requirements and is effective and suitable for the warfighter.
  • Assist with all aspects of life cycle logistics, including planning for the system sustainment, maintenance, and eventual disposal; support the collection of information and review of Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs) and Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) for products/systems.
  • Utilize logistics information systems to research product identification data, such as line item and stock numbers, to facilitate product support.
  • Participate and support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and Working Groups (WG) to schedule meetings, facilitate collaboration among all stakeholders, prepare agendas and other required documentation, record meeting minutes, and track action items.
  • Develop and manage program documentation for submission, including status reports, briefings, technical papers, and official correspondence.
  • Manage and track numerous, diverse, simultaneous efforts and can effectively prioritize requirements for multiple on-going projects in support of the product team.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, logistics and/or related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in project management, logistics, and/or medical evacuation in a military setting; Working knowledge of military development, procurement, fielding, and logistics processes
  • Attributes for Success: Good communication skills, detail oriented and team oriented individual
  • Preferred Technical Skills: Prior U.S. Army experience as a Combat Medic Specialist (68W); Experience in DOD 5000 acquisition process
  • Security Clearance Level: NA – Must be clearable for a T1 Public Trust
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Adept at cross-functional teamwork and engaging multiple stakeholders. Ability to execute using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook
  • Location: Fort Detrick, Maryland - Hybrid (2 days telework)
  • Travel: Travel is required (30%)
  • US Citizenship Required
