Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in networking, network software, cloud infrastructure, automation, or related technology domains.
  • Deep experience with network software architectures, including APIs, telemetry, automation, orchestration, and cloud-native systems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate emerging network software technologies for potential productization.
  • Assess feasibility, maturity, risk, and readiness of advanced software concepts.
  • Translate customer needs, market drivers, and use cases into long-range software planning inputs.
  • Act as the Advanced Software Planning interface to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Engage in industry forums and customer engagements to evangelize 1Finity in CIP/HS markets.
  • Feed market and ecosystem insights back into product, engineering, and sales.

We are seeking a senior network software and strategy professional to establish Advanced Software Planning as a core Photonics Business Unit (PSBU) capability. This role will study, shape, and influence next‑generation network software technologies to inform long‑range roadmap and investment decisions by translating emerging technology trends and customer use cases into actionable roadmap inputs. The role will also serve as a technical evangelist for 1Finity within the Cloud Infrastructure Provider (CIP) / Hyperscaler (HS) ecosystem to strengthen 1Finity’s presence and credibility within this market.

This is a senior individual contributorrole operating at the intersection of research, product strategy, engineering, and market engagement, with significant internal and external influence.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate emerging network software technologies (e.g., digital twins, agentic AI, advanced automation, orchestration, intent‑based control) for potential productization
  • Assess feasibility, maturity, risk, and readiness of advanced software concepts and architectures
  • Translate customer needs, market drivers, and advanced technology use cases into long‑range software planning inputs aligned with 1Finity’s product strategy
  • Recommend build, partner, or ecosystem approaches for advanced software capabilitiesAct as the Advanced Software Planning interface to Product and Engineering teams, providing early strategic and technical direction
  • Participate in industry forums, standards bodies, and customer engagements to evangelize 1Finity as an advanced solution provider in Cloud Infrastructure Provider (CIP) / Hyperscaler (HS) markets
  • Feed CIP / HS market, customer, and ecosystem insights back into Product, Engineering, and Sales to improve market knowledge and strategic alignment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in networking, network software, cloud infrastructure, automation, or related technology domains
  • Deep experience with network software architectures, including APIs, telemetry, automation, orchestration, and cloud‑native systems
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure Provider (CIP) networks, operational models, and technology trends
  • Proven experience translating emerging or advanced technologies into product strategy, platform planning, or long‑range roadmaps
  • Ability to operate effectively at the intersection of strategy, technology, and market engagement
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive‑level presentation skills
  • Experience participating in industry forums, standards bodies, or open ecosystems strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to20%

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is:

$184,660 - $255,456.00.

Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience and skills and may change over time. Additionally, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, which is based on individual
