Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Development, or related commercial roles within telecommunications, networking, broadband infrastructure, or connectivity markets.
  • Proven experience managing product portfolios and driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market, financial, and operational data to support decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to identifying opportunities and resolving issues.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20–30%.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full product lifecycle for the portfolio, from concept through end-of-life.
  • Drive profitable growth by managing revenue, margin, market share, and overall business performance for the product line.
  • Lead new product introductions, including market requirements, business cases, pricing strategy, launch planning, and commercialization activities.
  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term product line strategies aligned with customer needs and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Technology teams to define product roadmaps and identify future market opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, customer requirements, and emerging technologies to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to communicate demand forecasts, support capacity planning, and improve product availability.
  • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve lead times, enhance product functionality, and optimize portfolio profitability.
  • Support customer engagements, major bids, quotations, and strategic sales opportunities as the product line subject matter expert.
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions, and launch materials in collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows, industry conferences, and market events.

How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

In this role, you will own the strategy, growth, and profitability of our Fiber Closures product portfolio. You will be responsible for defining product strategy, driving new product introductions, managing financial performance, and ensuring the portfolio meets evolving customer and market needs.

As the business leader for the product line, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver innovative solutions that support broadband network deployments worldwide. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with technical knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure and demonstrated product management experience.

You Will Excite Us If You Have
  • Experience with outside plant (OSP) fiber optic products, including splice closures, fiber connectivity, cable assemblies, or related network infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of FTTx network architectures, broadband deployment practices, and fiber construction methods.
  • Understanding of product costing, margin management, pricing strategy, and P&L concepts.
  • Experience working with broadband service providers, telecom operators, contractors, or network infrastructure customers.
  • Familiarity with stage-gate product development and new product introduction processes.
  • Experience analyzing market opportunities and building business cases for new product investments.
