Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a global insurer to recruit a Product Liability Counsel for its Pasadena, California office. This role focuses on leading complex product liability matters, coordinating with outside counsel, experts, and internal stakeholders, and balancing a high-level litigation workload with work-life balance.

The attorney will oversee complex litigation, develop strategies, and provide guidance to internal teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar admission.
• 3–7 years of litigation experience, with at least 5 years preferred.
• Product liability, tort, insurance defense, or complex litigation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation and litigation strategy.
• Ability to analyze technical, engineering, or complex factual issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with business clients and outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee complex product liability and tort litigation matters.
• Evaluate liability exposure, damages, and reserve recommendations.
• Develop litigation and settlement strategies.
• Provide guidance and oversight to outside counsel, experts, investigators, and claims professionals.
• Attend mediations, arbitrations, depositions, inspections, settlement conferences, and trials as needed.
• Analyze coverage issues and provide legal recommendations.
• Assist with mentoring and development of legal and claims professionals.

Compensation: $170,000-$185,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
