About the role

Talent Signal is an AI-powered talent management tool that analyzes the work product of employees to help their managers provide timely and actionable feedback. It generates "performance signals" based on this work, highlighting individuals who may need extra support or recognition. The tool is designed to give managers early insights into employee performance, helping them proactively shape outcomes and reduce the time it takes to identify top or struggling performers. Talent Signal is currently available to Rippling customers through an Early Access program.

As the Product Lead for Talent Signal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of this new initiative and driving the execution of its roadmap. You’ll determine which capabilities the team should invest in, how the results should be integrated into other Rippling products, and when the product is ready for GA. You will iterate to ensure the product delivers actionable insights, supports internal benchmarking, and helps leaders cultivate exceptional performance within their teams. You will work closely with Early Access customers to solicit feedback on new and future capabilities to deliver a product that amazes and delights users.

What you will do
  • Own the Talent Signal product end-to-end, including primary responsibility for launching the product successfully to GA
  • Define the product vision and iterate on product positioning, especially to improve product-market fit for engineering and customer support personas
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver features that that provide clear, actionable performance insights for managers
  • Define and track key success metrics for Talent Signal adoption and impact
  • Expand the signals that the product considers, including work velocity, quality, presence, and communication mastery
  • Expand the product surfaces where Talent Signal outputs are used, to maximize the impact of the signals generated
  • Enhance internal benchmarking capabilities to reveal meaningful patterns across organizational dimensions
  • Gather and act on feedback from Early Access customers to iterate and improve the product
What you will need
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience
  • Self-starter with a bias towards action
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong product and usability instincts
  • Helicopter pilot mentality: you can easily switch from high-level strategy and planning to UI polish and data model details
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience building complex workflows and integration/marketplace products
  • Founder or hyper-growth startup experience a strong plus
  • Deep knowledge of AI/ML a strong plus
  • Strong alignment with our leadership principles : in particular Go and See, Push the Limits of Possible, and Are Right, a Lot.

The pay range for this role is:

165,000 - 288,750 USD per year (US San Francisco Bay Area)
