About Us

SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company, with a diversified portfolio of 5-star rated lifestyle solutions that positively impact people’s lives in homes around the world.

Powered by two trusted, global brands, Shark and Ninja, the company has a proven track record of bringing disruptive innovation to market and developing one consumer product after another has allowed SharkNinja to enter multiple product categories, driving significant growth and market share gains. Headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts with more than 4,100 associates, the company’s products are sold at key retailers, online and offline, and through distributors around the world.

AI at SharkNinja

At SharkNinja, we’re building an AI-native culture. We’re not waiting for the future; we’re creating it. Our people are expected to experiment boldly, adopt new tools, and continuously raise what’s possible to create meaningful impact for our consumers. If you believe the best way to do your job hasn’t been invented yet, you’ll fit right in.

This is a hands‑on, leadership quality and product excellence role focused on new product development. This role is at the intersection of consumer satisfaction, product quality, and commercialization. You will own the 5‑star standard from the earliest stages of development through to launch readiness, embedding yourself in NPD programs to ensure that what SharkNinja ships is safe, certified, consumer‑validated, and set up to succeed in market.

Product Excellence’s mandate is simple: every product SharkNinja ships should earn and sustain 5 stars. Today, that standard is not universally met, and the path to achieving it requires a team who will champion the consumer, challenge the organization, and hold the line on excellence with no compromise.

This role requires both a challenger and a connector. You will stand for the consumer voice in every cross‑functional conversation, push Product Development, Marketing and Engineering to act on improvements to design, resolving identified risk, and ensure the commercial and operational levers lead to a High Rate of Sale and consumer satisfaction in home

You will work across Engineering, Product Development, and the broader Product Excellence organization — surfacing risks early, running predictive modelling against consumer validation data, lessons learned, market data, and driving the structured testing, regulatory, and DFMEA processes that underpin every launch. Your job is to make sure issues are found before the consumer does, and that every product leaving the NPD pipeline earns its 5 stars. Consumer delight is your beacon, and we stop at nothing to deliver for the consumer.

You report into the VP, In‑Market Product Quality & Customer Excellence and work in close partnership with Engineering and Product Development leads across the NPD portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

5‑Star NPD Standard

  • Stand for the 5‑star standard across all NPD programmes — raising flags early and challenging Engineering, Product Development, Marketing when trajectories fall short.

Maintain a clear view of possible and real risk across the NPD portfolio and elevate when a product does not meet the 5‑star threshold at launch.

Bring a structured, evidence‑based perspective to every build review — not just flagging issues, but proposing specific, actionable improvements.

EB0 And Pre‑MP VEGA Hacks

Lead quality input into EB0 build reviews, ensuring all product excellence requirements are visible and tracked from the earliest engineering build.

Drive Pre‑MP VEGA Hacks — running structured hack sessions to identify and resolve quality and consumer experience issues before mass production lock.

Ensure findings from EB0 and Pre‑MP activities are documented, tracked to resolution, and fed back into the engineering and design process.

Predictive Modelling For 5‑Star Performance

Build and apply predictive models at each build stage to forecast in‑market rating performance, identifying the consumer experience factors most likely to drive or suppress 5‑star outcomes.

Translate consumer validated results into structured, prioritised recommendations for Engineering, Product Development, Marketing — making it clear what needs to change and why it matters to the consumer.

Track model accuracy over time and continuously refine the approach as new consumer data outcomes become available.

Dot Connection to Testing Plan and Safety, Regulatory and Certification Delivery

Ensure Testing has built comprehensive testing plans and protocols for each NPD programme, covering performance, durability, safety, and consumer experience dimensions. Identifying gaps and competitive opportunities to win in global market.

Connect dots to the safety, regulatory, and certification delivery for NPD programmes, ensuring all products meet the required standards for every market they will launch in. Partner with Engineering, Testing and external test labs to ensure safety testing is planned, executed, and closed out on time, with issues escalated and resolved before they become programme blockers.

Pre‑TRA Goodness

Own the quality and completeness of DFMEA ahead of TRA, ensuring all design failure modes are identified, assessed, and have credible mitigation actions in place before the gate.

Challenge Engineering to ensure DFMEAs reflect real‑world consumer use, not just theoretical design intent — pushing for rigour and depth, not box‑ticking.

Track open DFMEA actions through to closure, ensuring nothing is carried forward into TRA without a clear resolution plan and owner.

Required

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in product quality, product development, or a related engineering or consumer insights function — ideally within consumer electronics or home appliances.

  • Working knowledge of DFMEA methodology — able to review, challenge, and improve DFMEA quality, not just sign it off.

  • Familiarity with safety testing, regulatory standards, and certification processes across at least one major market (e.g. US, EU, UK).

  • Analytical and data‑literate — comfortable working with IHUT data, building structured outputs, and translating findings into engineering recommendations.

  • Confident communicator who can challenge peers and senior stakeholders constructively, with evidence rather than opinion.

  • Detail‑oriented and structured, with the ability to manage multiple NPD programmes simultaneously without dropping quality rigour on any of them.

Strongly Preferred

  • Hands‑on experience leading or contributing to VEGA hack sessions or equivalent structured pre‑production quality events.

  • Experience building or applying predictive quality models from consumer research or IHUT data.

  • Claims development experience, with an understanding of substantiation requirements and the interface between testing, legal, and marketing.

  • Multi‑market regulatory knowledge across consumer electronics or home appliance categories.
