Job Description
The Product Innovation Enterprise Architect is a technical leader who bridges the gap between business strategy, technology, and product development, driving innovation and ensuring product solutions and architecture support the company’s product vision.
This role is responsible for initiating and leading product solutions that enhance our core product offerings, improve customer experience, create a competitive edge, and mitigate risks. The focus will be on the new product development lifecycle and product solutions that differentiate Prime’s product lines.
The Product Innovation Enterprise Architect leads analysis and design tasks to support the development of product solutions across multiple business capabilities, ensuring the architecture improves Prime’s core products and aligns with architecture standards.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Innovation throughout the full product development lifecycle (Ideate, Validate, Design & Solve, Develop & Implement, Sell, Launch & Warranty) to enable innovations and technology adoption that enhance core product offerings, ensuring competitiveness, scalability, and sustainability.
- Guide the Product Innovation team to identify and adopt emerging technologies to improve product capabilities and customer experiences.
- Contribute to creating a competitive edge by integrating innovative products, technologies, and architecture designs into Prime’s value streams and supporting capabilities.
- Support the Validate and Design & Solve phases by assessing vendors, evaluating solutions, and defining impacts to support the product business case.
- Drive architecture and technology choices to reduce costs related to development, operations, and maintenance.
- Enhance customer experience with a customer-focused approach to understanding and elaborating problems, products, and solutions.
- Communicate benefits and risks of new solutions, technologies, and architectural changes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business and technology leaders, product managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and a holistic approach to product innovation.
- Contribute to a shared product and solution vision, fostering collaboration across teams.
- Research and lead the adoption of emerging technology trends relevant to product innovation.
- Advocate for testing new products and technologies on a smaller scale to manage risks.
- Ensure solutions align with Prime’s business goals, enterprise, and product roadmaps.
- Develop and evolve the product architecture and solution contexts in support of the product roadmap.
- Identify and implement process improvements and enablement investments for new product adoption and scaling.
- Analyze the business-IT environment to detect deficiencies, legacy issues, and technical debt, recommending improvements.
- Coach, mentor, and collaborate with technical experts and architecture peers to develop enabling architecture.
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement in architecture practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
- 10 years of related experience in Business Analysis, System Design, Systems Engineering, or Technical Architecture, including 5 years in an Architect role.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience in business architecture, capability modeling, value stream optimization, design thinking, and business case development.
- Experience defining and standardizing design and architecture patterns.
- Effective communication skills at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to lead architecture teams and initiatives.
- Broad understanding of multiple domain areas with practical solutions.
- Self-directed learner with leadership capabilities.
- Experience with various solution types, including organizational, process, third-party, legacy, and cloud solutions.
- Experience as a senior enterprise architect on large initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with New Product Development approaches.
- Knowledge of enterprise and business architecture development.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI).
- Background in healthcare industry, especially pharmacy benefits.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and scaled frameworks (SAFe, LeSS).
- Strong understanding of SDLC and project management principles.
- Deep knowledge in at least two architectural domains.
- Enterprise Architecture training and certification.
- Modeling enterprise architectures with standard notation.

All employees must adhere to security responsibilities, legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Potential pay ranges from $143,000 to $243,000, based on experience and skills.
