Job Description
The Product Innovation Enterprise Architect is a technical leader who bridges the gap between business strategy, technology, and product development, driving innovation and ensuring product solutions and architecture support the company’s product vision.
This role is responsible for initiating and leading product solutions that enhance our core product offerings, improve customer experience, create a competitive edge, and mitigate risks. The focus will be on the new product development lifecycle and differentiating product solutions.
The architect leads analysis and design tasks to support product development across multiple capabilities, ensuring architecture aligns with standards and improves core products.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Innovation throughout the product development lifecycle to enable innovations and technology adoption that enhance offerings, ensuring competitiveness, scalability, and sustainability.
- Guide the organization to identify and adopt emerging technologies to improve product capabilities and customer experiences.
- Contribute to creating a competitive edge by integrating innovative products, technologies, and architecture designs into Prime’s value streams.
- Support the Validate and Design & Solve phases by assessing vendors, evaluating solutions, and defining impactful solutions.
- Drive architecture and technology choices to reduce costs.
- Enhance customer experience with a customer-focused approach.
- Communicate benefits and risks of new solutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with leaders and teams to ensure alignment and a holistic approach to innovation.
- Research and lead adoption of emerging trends and practices.
- Advocate for testing new products on a smaller scale to manage risks.
- Ensure solutions align with business goals and roadmaps.
- Develop and evolve product architecture and solution contexts.
- Identify and drive process improvements for product development.
- Analyze the business-IT environment for deficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Mentor and collaborate with technical experts and peers.
- Improve architecture practices and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
- 10 years of related experience, including 5 years in an architect role.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience in business analysis, architecture, design thinking, and process optimization.
- Experience defining architecture patterns for product development.
- Effective communication skills at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to lead architecture teams and define pragmatic solutions.
- Broad understanding of multiple domains and practical solutions.
- Self-motivated learner and leader.
- Experience with various solution types including cloud, legacy, and integrations.
- Senior-level enterprise initiative experience.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NPD approaches.
- Knowledge of enterprise and business architecture development.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI).
- Background in healthcare or pharmacy benefits.
- Experience with Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and project management.
- Deep knowledge in at least two architecture domains.
- Enterprise architecture certification.
- Modeling enterprise architectures with standard notation.
Physical Demands
- Travel up to 5%.
- Sitting, speaking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, stooping, lifting as described.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
Compliance with security responsibilities and legal requirements is mandatory.
Salary range: $143,000 - $243,000 based on experience and skills.
