Job summary

Philips in Bothell, WA seeks a Product Industrialization Project Manager to lead development and deployment of processes, tools, and equipment within global manufacturing systems. You will drive PDLM projects and integrate lean manufacturing into product introductions and changes.

The role requires 3+ years in complex manufacturing, strong PM skills, and familiarity with medical device regulations. Onsite presence is expected in Bothell, WA and the Personal Health ISC/OHC program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a complex manufacturing environment, with knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain.
• Medical Device industry experience and regulatory knowledge (FDA 21 CFR 800–1299, ISO 13485) preferred.
• PM capabilities with lean mindset and plastics/injection molding expertise.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and leads process development activities and CAPEX optimization for initial investments.
• Ensures adherence to processes for product introductions, qualifications, and release.
• Applies Design for Lean Manufacturing in PDLM processes.
• Accounts for process requirements based on product specs from I&D and Manufacturing Requirements; manages design changes in Philips factories and suppliers.

The PIPM is responsible for the development, deployment & improvement of processes, tools, and equipment within our global manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production results within our Product Development Lifecycle Management Programs and New Product Introductions

Your role:

• Initiates and leads process development activities & Initiates CAPEX optimization for initial investments
• Ensures adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications, and release
• Initiates Design for Lean Manufacturing in PDLM processes and applies lean manufacturing principles
• Accountable for Process Requirements based on Product Specifications from I&D and Manufacturing Requirements & Accountable for design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers driven by PDLM governed projects
• Responsible for resources, planning, quality, and cost (including CAPEX) for industrialization projects

You're the right fit if:

• You’ve acquired 3+ years of experience operating in a complex manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of complex manufacturing processes, related equipment, production line development and deployment, Design for Manufacturing, Assembly and Testability, Research and Development processes, and global Supply Chain operations.
• Medical Device Industry experience, including Medical Device Regulation, Food and Drug Administration Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 800–1299, International Organization for Standardization 13485, and Medical Device Quality Management Systems, is required.
• Your skills include robust Project Management capabilities, a Lean mindset, and a strong understanding of plastics, plastic part development, and injection molding.
• Project Management Professional certification and Lean Green Belt certification are preferred.
• You have a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Engineering or a related field, such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering, or a similar discipline.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This is an office-based role (minimum of 3 days per week in office, preferably Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position in WA is $107,000 to $170,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
