Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring for a Part-time Product Handling role at our Lacey, WA distribution center. Shift is 5:00am–10:00am, Mon–Fri, 25–28 hours/week, with potential scheduling flexibility after onboarding.

You will move and consolidate product, label items using RF scanners, and ensure clean, safe work areas while complying with health and safety rules. Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong math aptitude with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Product Handling, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will consolidate product, restock locations and move inventory by hand, pallet jack, or forklift. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 9190 Orion Dr NE, Lacey, WA 98516. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

• Prior experience operating a forklift
