Job summary

Vercel is seeking an FP&A Manager, Product to join our Finance team in San Francisco. You’ll own OpEx and headcount planning for Engineering, Product, and Design, building scalable models that improve visibility and decision-making.

You will partner with Engineering leadership, People, and Strategic Finance to ensure investments are intentional, efficient, and aligned with long-term company strategy, while driving budget controls and reporting excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience partnering with engineering leaders to align budgets with roadmaps.
• Strong cost-driver understanding for cloud and SaaS.
• Proven workforce planning across multiple departments.
• Advanced financial modeling with ROI focus.
• Systems-oriented with scalable forecasting and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the Product investment envelope and manage OpEx and headcount budgets.
• Build bottoms-up headcount models by function and level.
• Develop forecasting models for cloud hosting, AI compute, internal tooling, SaaS and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and R&D accounting implications.
• Lead monthly budget vs. actual reviews and automate reporting.
• Design scalable financial controls for approvals and tooling.
