Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems and a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Product Finance Manager in West Los Angeles. The role partners with Product, R&D and Engineering to drive financial strategy across the product lifecycle in a hybrid schedule with at least three onsite days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a highly related field.
• 8+ years of total experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or strategic finance with product finance focus.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel with ability to build complex financial models.
• U.S. Person status due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, R&D and Engineering to provide finance support across the product lifecycle including launches and pricing actions.
• Execute business cases and commercial plans with Product, Engineering, R&D, Sales and Operations.
• Lead pricing finance decisions and guidance.
• Forecast new product lines for CV/LRP, including order units, revenue and costs.
• Analyze actual vs. forecast performance and key drivers to improve operating leverage.
• Develop and operationalize financial dashboards and KPI reporting from high‑quality data.
• Drive forecasting data accessibility and implement best practices across Product Finance and Finance teams.
• Manage department costs for Product, R&D and Engineering teams.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration and standardize planning/data handoffs across lifecycle.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking a Product Finance Manager who will report to the FP&A Director on the Finance team. The successful individual in this role will act as a business partner to the Product Management leadership team, ensuring stakeholders are supported with complete, timely, and accurate data to make informed decisions for product development and commercial strategies. This position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On‑site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Lifecycle Partnership: Act as the business partner to the Product, R&D, and Engineering teams, with a primary focus on providing finance support for new product integrations and conducting financial analysis to advise on decisions throughout the product lifecycle, including R&D, launch, pricing actions, margin improvement, and end‑of‑life strategies.
• Business Case Execution: Implement business cases and commercial plans by collaborating with Product, Engineering, R&D, Sales, and Operations.
• Strategic Pricing: Serve as the finance leader on pricing.
• Forecasting: Lead the forecast process for the new product lines, producing order unit, revenue, and cost forecasts for supporting the Commit View (CV) and Long Range Planning (LRP).
• Performance & Variance Analysis: Report actual product performance, performing variance analysis compared to historical benchmarks and forecasted results, and decompose key business/financial drivers to create operating leverage.
• Dashboarding & Metrics: Develop and operationalize financial dashboards and key performance reporting metrics using accurate, high‑quality data.
• Process Improvement: Drive forecasting data accessibility opportunities, scale initiatives to enable the Product Finance and wider Finance team, and implement best practices.
• Department Cost Management: Manage department costs for the Product, R&D, and Engineering teams.
• Cross‑functional Process Optimization: Drive process efficiency by fostering collaboration between Finance, Product, R&D, and Operations; standardize the framework for planning and analyzing the business while streamlining data integration and handoffs across the new product lifecycle.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a highly related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of total experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or strategic finance at a high‑growth startup or well‑established company, with specific experience supporting product finance and new product integrations.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel with familiarity in building complex financial models and manipulating large datasets.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Leadership: 2+ years of supervisory, people management, or function management experience in managing multi‑site teams and/or operations.
• Prior exposure to and experience with Oracle, NetSuite, Oracle Smart Views, and/or other accounting/ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Ghant Charts, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a formidable attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, flexibility, and comfort working under time constraints with multiple operating constituents.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following: Lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set‑up of demonstrations and testing.

COMPENSATION

$140,000 - $165,000 / annually #silvuscareers
