Job description

Overview

Perform a variety of routine duties related to manual and automated assembly, molding, inspecting and packaging of products in accordance with specified requirements ensuring continuous and efficient flow of production.

Responsibilities
  1. Assemble products and/or operate/monitor equipment at a pace consistent with the speed of the assembly line or automation system.
  2. Remove injection molded parts from injection molding machines or automation system.
  3. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts in order to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
  4. May be required to work with quality plans or other documents.
  5. Use basic math, fixed and adjustable measuring instruments, charts and logs to perform calculations to assure product meets specified requirements.
  6. Monitor automation system for outputs (Yield & Utilization) and general performance.
  7. Enter data into a computer and monitor results to ensure product control.
  8. Prepare and monitor results to ensure product control.
  9. Perform work as required.
  10. Inform supervisor of issues impacting system performance.
  11. Package and label product in accordance with work instructions and quality plans.
  12. Inform supervisor on any deviation and/or product specification problem.
  13. Provide suggestions regarding continuous improvement activities relative to production purposes and product quality plans.
  14. Observe all health and safety requirements and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  15. Train other employees as needed.
  16. Perform other duties as needed.
Skills

Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and quality plans. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret graphs and charts. Ability to get along with co-workers and work in a team environment.
