Job summary

A manufacturing company is seeking individuals to operate molding machinery, pack products for shipment, and ensure quality standards are met. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and should be able to perform essential duties in a manufacturing environment. Overview

SUMMARY: Operates power and/or hand equipment to manufacturing Plastic or Rubber products, also assemble Plastic or Rubber products, by crimping, shaping, labeling, staking, bonding, and other assembly related tasks by performing the following duties.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Operate Molding Machinery and separate product.
  • Pack and/or package product for shipping.
  • Mark package or product.
  • Insert sub-assembly parts in mold for overmolding.
  • De-gate and trim parts of flash and gates.
  • Inspect parts for flaws, cuts, tears, non-fills, burnt materials, color, scratches, or visuals specified by Quality personnel and Work Sheets.
  • Drilling or tapping of parts.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
