Job summary

IAPMO in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Product Evaluation Engineer to join the Uniform Evaluation Services (UES) team. In this role, you'll evaluate innovative building products for compliance with building codes and standards while working alongside industry experts to help bring new technologies to market.

You will review engineering calculations, testing reports, and technical documentation; develop evaluation reports and product listings; partner with manufacturers and engineers; support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• EIT certification is required; PE preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering, construction, building codes, product testing, or related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering calculations, testing reports, and technical documentation.
• Develop technical evaluation reports and product listings.
• Work with manufacturers, engineers, and internal teams throughout the evaluation process.
• Support customer relationships and technical inquiries.
• Represent IAPMO at industry events and conferences.
