As a central resource, you will work with various teams to efficiently transition products to production while formulating long-term cost/profit strategies. The position also includes personnel development and evaluation within the function.
The Product Engineering Manager (PEM) provides management direction for a specific product or group of products from development planning through production release and ensures the product is designed for manufacturability and reliability. The PEM ensures that products shipped meet specification and quality goals and may also be required to provide sustaining support for these products post development release. In this role, you will interface as a central product resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, reliability, and marketing as the product(s) move into production. You will also formulate and execute long-term plans for cost/profit control. In addition, you will select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
