Job summary

Advanced Digital Cable, Inc. in Hayesville, NC, is seeking a Product Engineer Assistant to organize technical information and support development of innovative cable solutions.

You will maintain product specifications, BOMs, and engineering data while collaborating with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to ensure data accuracy and production readiness. Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, product data management, or a related technical role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update product data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and engineering documentation within ERP/MRP systems.
• Support new product development by assisting Design Engineers with product specifications, cable constructions, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate engineering document revisions and ensure accurate product information is released to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales to maintain accurate product data and support business operations.
• Review customer specifications and assist in preparing technical documentation for new and existing products.
• Generate engineering reports, analyze product data, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain organized engineering records and document control systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Support additional engineering and product development projects as assigned.
