Job summary

Micromatic-LLC in Berne, IN is hiring a Product Development Engineer – Level 1 to support hydraulic actuator development and sustaining lines. You will learn design processes, contribute to new products, and collaborate with sales and senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of new hydraulic actuator products using 3D CAD software.
• Create and update 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support maintenance of existing product lines, including minor design updates and revisions.
• Create, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system.
• Assist with engineering change requests.
• Collaborate with sales and senior engineers to support customer quotations and technical questions.
• Participate in customer-related issue resolution, including basic root cause investigations and returned product evaluations.
• Manage small to medium size engineering projects including scope, schedule, training and open issues lists.
• Assists level 2 and Senior Engineers on test lab projects.
• Learn and apply applicable industry standards, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements.
• Travel as necessary (<10%).

Overview:
