Your opportunity

The Product Engineer produces designs and redesigns of new and existing products to complement and enhance product offerings and continually improve quality. Individual projects include testing, prototyping, and documentation to develop skills to minimize production costs and sustain a competitive advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop new product designs and redesigns in coordination with sales, marketing, and manufacturing functions, with oversight.
  • Prepare bill-of-materials on new and changed designs and special design requests under the direction of the design team.
  • Assist in the release of design into production, including testing and training for new or modified designs.
  • Evaluate material selection, perform cost analysis, and review vendor options to implement new designs; collaborate with purchasing on component specifications.
  • Participate in prototyping and testing, interpret test results, and set up test equipment as needed.
  • Review testing data, recommend corrective actions, and interface with certifying agencies like UL or AMCA.
  • Provide technical support internally to sales/marketing and externally to customers.
  • Maintain communication with the shop floor, address problems, and bring issues to engineering review.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for production, manufacturing, and engineering purposes.
  • Assist on job sites to resolve installation or design issues.
  • Engage in value engineering to improve designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in external approvals (UL, AMCA, etc.).
  • Manage projects to meet deadlines and provide mentoring to team members.
  • Support quality management systems and assist in software testing and planning.
What You Should Have
  • 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • 2-year/Associate Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4-year/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

The starting pay range is $73,000-$90,000, with comprehensive benefits. Benefits include health and family support, financial security, learning & development, rewards & recognition, wellbeing & mental health, work-life balance, and other perks.
