Job summary

Rinker Materials, a QUIKRETE Company, is seeking a Product Engineer – Civil/Structural Engineering to join our DeLand, FL team. You will lead product design, testing, and analysis for precast concrete applications, ensuring performance and compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, a PE license (or the ability to obtain within months), and experience in precast concrete for infrastructure or water projects.

  • PE license (or ability to obtain within months).
  • Experience with precast concrete in infrastructure/water space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product design, testing and analysis for precast concrete products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance and cost.

Education

If you have your B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, your PE license (or the ability to obtain within a few months of hire), and previous precast concrete in the infrastructure/ water space, Rinker Materials wants to hear from you.

  • Lead or contribute to the development of new concrete products, considering performance, cost, and market requirements.
  • Create and review product designs, ensuring they meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct testing and analysis of concrete mixes to assess and improve product performance and durability.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards for concrete products.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in concrete production to enhance efficiency and product consistency.
  • Work with raw material suppliers to evaluate and select materials suitable for concrete manufacturing.
  • Assist in cost analysis and value engineering to optimize product performance while managing production costs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, testing results, and design changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and sales, to address product-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure that concrete products comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability and willingness to review, approve, and seal engineering drawings and calculations in accordance with applicable state engineering licensure requirements
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and customers.
