Job summary

Normine Lombard seeks a New Product Engineer to collaborate with Industrial Designers and engineers to develop innovative products from concept to production. You will conduct feasibility studies, coordinate validation testing, and use state-of-the-art CAD/analysis tools to create mechanical designs for injection-molded plastics, extruded parts, fabrics, and metal components.

Occasional Asia travel and relocation to Lehi, UT are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5+ years of mechanical/product design experience; consumer goods experience is a strong benefit.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
• Experience with injection molding is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to global manufacturing sites; relocation to Lehi, UT may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products according to design timelines and within cost targets.
• Responsible for the overall design, analysis, documentation, and functional validation of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Designs, conducts and participates in mechanical engineering evaluation and tests to validate robustness and performance of new products.
• Partner with Industrial Design team, suppliers/partners, manufacturing and operations to ensure successful development and launch of new products.
• Utilizes best-in-class tools to develop innovative mechanical solutions to complex problems.
• Protect company intellectual property through design and patent processes.
