Job summary

SGS Consulting in Charlotte, NC seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will support designs with calculations, virtual analysis, and layout reviews, collaborating daily with product design, marketing, program management, and test and systems engineers to enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities include hands-on support for machine builds and upgrades in the shop, and occasional in-field assistance when machines are provided to Marketing for feedback.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience (4 years).
• Experience with CAD systems (1–3 years).
• Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases (1–3 years).
• Work experience in engineering targeted disciplines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support designs with calculations and virtual analysis to improve customer experience.
• Collaborate daily with product design and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Program management, Test and Systems engineers).
• Provide hands-on shop support for machine builds and upgrades; assist with work orders and field feedback.
