Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams. They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Our Engineering Managers leverage TE global technology to increase competitive position and increased value to our customers. They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability

This Manager I role will actively lead and implement ADM core goals for a medium & diverse professional team consisting of 6+ full-time Product Engineers, an annual Rotational Engineering program Product Engineer, 2+ Engineering Contractors, and upwards of 2 Co-Op / Interns. Manager I role will lead, manage, create, support, analyze, and assist in all aspects of sustaining Aerospace, Defense and Marine connector systems products including overseeing product data creation and driving excellence in part number maintenance at drawing level for up to 30 Global Product Lines including new & legacy rectangular and military circular connectors. The ideal Manager I Product Engineering candidate should be a fast learner, have broad leadership and product experience with commercial aerospace and defense electrical connectors and related components, and a keen understanding of aerospace related electrical wiring interface standards (EWIS) and components.

Expectations include strong leadership experience with demonstrated success with a professional team. Additionally, candidate must have extensive experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, plating, molding, sealing, and assembly as well as industry requirements such as REACH, EU RoHS, TCSA, and Prop 65 declarations. Candidate must have excellent knowledge of core Engineering tools including Windchill, CREO, PDMLink, and other CAD / FAE tools necessary to lead the Product Engineering team in completing tasks assigned from 3D modeling, detailed 2D print mark-ups / generation, processing Engineering Changes and updating Engineering Bill of Materials among other tasks. This Manager I Product Engineering will work with local TE Operations Staff and ADM Connectors Engineering leadership to drive implementation on a wide variety of targeted technical assignments including engineering sample preparations, plant level interactions with peer engineering managers, develop strong relationships with product managers and other customer facing sales personnel; continuous follow-up on sustaining engineering activities, product migration activities, and is accountable for team completion of assigned engineering projects within project scheduling guidelines.

This Manager I Product Engineering must plan, prioritize, and actively manage the team to drive performance and results on multiple technical related projects and daily tasks related to TECPN database, PDM vaults, PDMLink EC system, technical documentation creation, Product Jurisdiction & Classification Assessments, and TE Product Compliance Tracking database systems. Additionally, work collaboratively and closely with TE Project Managers in PMO and other technical project related employees including contractors. Candidate supports TE efforts on professional growth aligned with TE values and respects diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives per TE corporate policy.

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s Engineering Degree or equivalent including managerial experience.
• Must be a documented US citizen able to work without restrictions in ITAR / Export Controlled facility.
• Must have 7+ yrs of overall experience with technology based industrial operations of electrical and mechanical parts, including 3+ years of demonstrated leadership success in sustaining product engineering or development engineering.
• Strong English language skills, preferred with some proficiency in Spanish.
• Advanced degree preferred either MS Eng or MBA.
• Must pass TE Drug Screening and Site-specific Background requirements

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $126,400k - $157,900k annually(subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
