Job summary

Allstate Canada Group seeks a highly skilled Infrastructure as Code engineer to design, build, and productize reusable automation for provisioning and operating infrastructure through code. You will establish engineering standards, create reusable modules, and drive CI/CD pipelines across platforms.

Collaborating with platform, security, networking, and application teams, you’ll transform manual infrastructure delivery into automated, software-defined operations, with emphasis on scalable IaC

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' IaC experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience with continuous collaborative pair programming to solve technical challenges.
• Strong experience building infrastructure automation solutions using multiple tools.
• Proven success in establishing and scaling enterprise IaC initiatives.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infra deployments.
• Knowledge of Git-based development workflows, branching and PRs.
• Experience building reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services.
• Solid understanding of cloud, networking, security, identity management, and platform services.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise IaC strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions across omni-hosted platforms.
• Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation capabilities.
• Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering and design practices to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Understand responsible AI practices, security controls, governance and risk.
• Design and develop APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration and provisioning.
• Drive CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infra delivery.
• Partner with platform teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize capabilities.
• Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs.
