Job summary
Mettler Toledo is seeking a Product Engineer to join its Columbus, Ohio team. The role focuses on developing product and process solutions for vehicle scale applications within the Masstron Producing Organization, Vehicle SBU.
You will design, modify, and analyze products for heavy industrial weighing, including foundation calculations and steel structures. You will lead cross‑functional NPD efforts, collaborate with internal and external fabricators, and ensure designs meet standards, cost, and
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Agricultural or Structural Engineering or related field.
- 3–10 years of product design experience in a technical/industrial setting.
- Ability to present products and solutions to customers internally and externally.
- Experience with CAD/CAE/FEA tools and structural analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop cost-effective product solutions for vehicle scale applications.
- Lead and participate in New Product Development across departments.
- Collaborate with fabricators to ensure quality standards.
- Create drawings, BOMs, user docs and manufacturing support materials.
- Manage product performance and regulatory testing.
