Job summary

Donaldson Company, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer II to join our Industrial Solutions Aftermarket & Services team in Indiana. The role collaborates with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to drive new product development and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a technical engineering role.
• Product engineering or CAD design experience preferred.
• Experience with Teamcenter, ARAS.
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel in internal/external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate samples, conduct laboratory testing, and analyze performance data for quality and compliance.
• Serve as a technical liaison to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical expertise on filtration products, standards, applications, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain to assess and optimize supplier performance.
• Manage engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, ECRs, and specs.
• Support lifecycle management of replacement parts and new product releases.

The Product Engineer II position within our Industrial Solutions Aftermarket & Services organization will play a key role both internally and externally. This position is part of an efficient, respected, and high-functioning global team within the organization, and will provide the opportunity to work cross functionally as well as with our plants and vendors.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to support new product development, product launches, and ongoing product enhancements.
• Evaluate product samples, conduct laboratory testing, and analyze performance data to verify media and product quality, compliance, and adherence to engineering requirements.
• Serve as a technical liaison between manufacturing, suppliers, engineering, quality, field service, and purchasing teams to resolve product issues, support complaint investigations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical expertise on filtration products, industry standards, applications, performance, and corrective actions across the organization.
• Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to assess current and prospective suppliers, helping optimize product quality, coverage, cost competitiveness, and supplier performance.
• Manage engineering documentation activities, including creating and maintaining engineering drawings, bills of materials, engineering change requests (ECRs), and technical specifications to support the aftermarket product portfolio.
• Support projects related to product lifecycle management of replacement parts and filters, competitive analysis, and new product releases.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Minimum three years’ experience in a technical role in Engineering or related field
• Preferred Qualifications: Product engineering or CAD design experience
• Experience with Teamcenter, ARAS
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
• Analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel in both internal and external business relationships

Annual Salary Range: $76,400 - $105,050 annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
