Job description

ArcGIS Hub is quickly expanding the ability to bring people together to discuss and collaborate on a map backed by ArcGIS’s catalog of authoritative data. This role will focus on our discussions, mapping, usage telemetry, and event capabilities.

You will work on our development team to strategize, implement, deliver, and maintain innovative solutions for our customers. Your work will contribute to the continued development of our geospatial data sharing system.

Responsibilities
  • Work with customers, leadership, and your development team to identify requirements and translate them into functional user stories for consideration.
  • Create and maintain performance dashboards to evaluate capability usage to inform product objectives and development priorities.
  • Maintain a Product Backlog of user stories and defects, work with your team to refine and plan these items for development.
  • Organize and communicate development and release plans to stakeholders.
  • Publish workflow best practices through tutorials, blog articles, and conference presentations.
  • Validate and triage enhancement and defect requests in collaboration with Esri Support Services.
Requirements
  • 2+ years working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience working with ArcGIS software (such as ArcGIS Map Viewer and/or ArcGIS Scene Viewer) or other GIS technology.
  • Advanced communication and storytelling skillsets; able to convey complex ideas in various formats depending on context and audience.
  • Intermediate project management skillsets with an ability to coordinate, structure, and release functionality iteratively.
  • Beginner to intermediate understanding of web development fundamentals such as HTML/CSS, UI/UX design, APIs, and components.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, GIS, Information Science, City or Regional Planning, or another related field.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Hub, SQL, and Grafana.
  • Experience working software products deployed to customers in a SaaS and on-premises model.
  • Experience participating in or organizing civic engagement activities such as design charrettes or public input sessions.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master, or other relevant knowledge of Scrum best practices.
