Job summary

TechnipFMC is hiring a Product Engineer for our Houston, TX location. The role focuses on designing and developing valve products, applying engineering principles, and ensuring quality and manufacturing efficiency across projects.

You will work with CAD/CAM and database tools, participate in field trials, and prepare ECN/ICP documentation. A bachelor's in engineering with 3 years of related experience is required, with opportunities for telecommuting where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3 years of related experience.
• Experience with Gate Valve Design for product development and failure analysis.
• Experience with hard facing manufacturing processes and value engineering.
• Experience with material selection for customer requirements and new industry needs.
• Experience with API and NACE standards.
• Experience with design for pressure vessels and ASME codes.
• Experience with metallic/nonmetallic seals and core products in valves.
• Field installation, commissioning and aftermarket services.
• Experience with new product development and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Solve practical problems in design, development and modification of parts or assemblies for products or systems.
• Design products and systems ensuring product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Review field installation procedures, operations, and maintenance manuals.
• Prepare documentation such as ECN, ICP and operations manuals.
• Ensure conformance to policies for engineering functions, labor reporting, and systems reporting.
• Utilize CAD/CAM and database systems to analyze designs and generate layouts.
• Analyze product function, design and test components for reliability and safety.
• Participate in field trials to determine design limits and improvements.
