Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with significant mechanical design experience.
• 3+ years of product engineering or product development experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing or supporting electrical products, heating elements, thermal systems, or related electromechanical products.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including circuits, resistance, power calculations, and thermal applications.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Experience with ERP systems and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom and standard electric heating products based on customer specifications and application requirements.
• Apply electrical engineering principles to the design, analysis, testing, and improvement of resistance heating elements and thermal systems.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand application requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and engineering change notices (ECNs).
• Utilize SolidWorks and other engineering software to develop product designs and revisions.
• Support new product introductions from concept through production, ensuring designs are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Troubleshoot product performance issues and provide technical support for manufacturing, quality, and customers.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product-related issues.
• Evaluate existing products and identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and enhanced performance.
• Participate in prototype builds, validation testing, and product qualification activities.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to improve production processes and product manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional engineering projects.
• Promote a safe work environment by following company safety policies and participating in safety initiatives.
