Job summary

pSemi Corporation in San Diego is seeking an Engineer, Product Engineering to own products from kick-off to end of life, ensuring test coverage, performance verification, and conformance to cost targets. You will collaborate with Design, Characterization, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability, Applications, Foundry and Marketing to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Design Engineering.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule.
• Background with Datapower, JMP, Cadence and MATLAB.
• Background working with large datasets and applying statistical methods to draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• New Product Introduction: ensure new products meet development requirements before production release and support tests and reliability plans.
• Product Sustaining: monitor initial yields and quality, drive improvements, and assist with test time reduction.
• Change Control: review production process changes and perform electrical characterization to support qualification.
• Failure Analysis: conduct studies on returns or failure modes impacting yield with guidance from team.
• Team Leadership: provide technical leadership to transition new products to mass production and keep schedules on track.
