Job summary

Firecrawl is hiring a Product Engineer - Parse in San Francisco, onsite. You will build the endpoint that turns documents into clean, layout-aware data for AI consumption, shipping features from idea to production and owning them end-to-end.

Expect to enhance parsing across PDFs, Word, spreadsheets, and more, focusing on reliability and developer experience. You will collaborate with the engineering team on the roadmap, address layout detection, table structure, and reading order, and iterate

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and shipping developer-facing product.
• Care about developer experience like a designer cares about pixels: latency, output schema, docs, the whole feel of it.
• Own ambiguous problems and turn them into shipped features.
• Move fast, ship, measure, and iterate.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship developer-facing document-parsing features from idea to production
• Own the reliability and quality of parsed output across PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, and more, including messy scanned and mixed-format files
• Turn hard problems (layout detection, table structure, reading order, OCR routing) into clean APIs developers love to use
• Work directly with the engineering team on the roadmap and tradeoffs behind it
• Dogfood the product, read GitHub issues, and let developer pain drive what you build
