Job summary

CFS Brands seeks a New Product Engineer to lead the development of innovative commercial foodservice equipment from concept to launch. You will collaborate across Product Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with product development, strong project management skills, and a passion for bringing new products to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–8 years of experience in product design or new product development, preferably in commercial foodservice equipment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, castings, plastics, electrical components, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Experience creating engineering documentation including BOMs, ECOs, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts for new product development projects from concept through commercial launch.
• Translate VOC into product requirements and engineering specifications with Product Management.
• Design and develop commercial foodservice equipment focusing on performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes through laboratory and field testing.
• Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments throughout development.
