Job summary

Swenson Spreader, LLC, an Aebi Schmidt brand, seeks a Product Engineer in Lindenwood, IL to design and develop products from concept to production, collaborating with Engineering, Production, Sales, Service, customers, and vendors. You’ll lead engineering projects, apply 3D CAD, and drive lean improvements throughout development.

You will develop and maintain product documentation, ensure quality and cost targets, and stay current with product lines and market opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop products using 3D CAD software.
• Manage multiple engineering projects, from design through completion.
• Develop project schedules and ensure projects stay on track.
• Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications, and changes.
• Troubleshoot design and production issues and provide engineering support to manufacturing, Sales, and Service.
• Work with customers, dealers, vendors, and internal teams on product improvements and technical issues.
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, manufacturability, cost savings, and product performance.
• Develop and maintain product documentation, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manuals.
• Measure and inspect machines and parts to ensure they meet design specifications.
• Stay current on product lines, industry developments, and new product opportunities.
• Prepare project updates and reports and manage projects within established budgets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
